Danny Davis.

Vandis’ Executive Director, Danny Davis is one of the leading global experts in the Governance of Sustained Value Creation in large scale organisations.

Danny advises Boards and Executives from some of the world’s leading Companies, Pension Funds, Regulators and Governments on the crossover between governance and investment in innovation as it leads to achievement of Sustained Value Creation performance.

He is a successful hands-on serial entrepreneur in his own right  building and operating a $30m professional services, technology and project consultancy through funding to exit. He has provided leadership across hundreds of successful technology and strategy projects, and mentored innovative leaders across all sizes, sectors and constitution of organisations.  Danny is a professional discipline polymath, and a strategic technology, innovation and organisational governance master-craftsman. His PhD thesis “Governance of Value Creation: An Integrated Multi-Disciplinary Model for Sustained Value-Creation in Large-Scale Organisations” is currently with examiners.

Danny has served as Chair of a number of NFP Community Service, and private Professional Services organisations. He has served on the Faculty Board of Latrobe University’s Faculty of Business, Economics and Law, as Secretary of the Food and Agriculture Innovation Initiative at Monash University, Executive Director of the CIO Institute of Australia, and as Director on a variety of other Industry and Educational boards.

He serves as an expert contributor on the development of International ISO Standards for Organisational Governance, IT Governance, Governance Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Governance of IT Projects, Service Quality Management, Data Quality Management and Cybersecurity. He is a frequent contributor to government and industry reviews on Long Term Value, Future-Accounting/Audit, Innovation, Technology and Enhanced Governance.

He has lectured in International Management at Victoria University, and delivered executive development for CPA, Governance Institute of Australia and the Project Management Institute. He was Chair of the Australasian CIO Summit, the Connected Government Forum, Communiqué Director of the Australia 3.0 (Ideas for Australia’s Innovation Economy) Forum, and facilitator of its Technology and Innovation Mining Stream. He frequently serves as a and Business Futurist keynote speaker. He was Festival Co-Director of the 2012 South Melbourne Street Fair. He served on the Editorial Advisory Board for Strategic Path Magazine, and as published author, was recipient of the UK computer book of the year award.
